When a windshield needs replacing
A small chip can usually be repaired. A windshield usually needs to be replaced when:
- A crack is long, keeps growing, or runs to the edge of the glass.
- The damage sits in the driver’s line of sight, where even a good repair can leave a mark you look through every day.
- There are several chips or cracks, or the glass is shattered or punctured.
- Damage reaches both layers of the glass or the area behind the rear-view mirror.

The right glass for your vehicle
Windshields are not one-size-fits-all, even for the same model year. Depending on the trim, yours may have a rain sensor, a heated wiper area, an acoustic layer, a heads-up display area or a camera bracket behind the mirror. That is why we ask for your year, make and model, and your VIN if you have it: it helps us order the correct windshield the first time.
Every replacement uses brand-new glass. The old windshield comes out, the frame is cleaned and prepared, and the new glass is set in fresh adhesive.

Out with the old glass
The trim comes off and the damaged windshield is carefully cut out of the frame.
In with the new
The new windshield is set in fresh adhesive and the trim, mirror and wipers go back on.
Before you drive
The adhesive needs time to cure. We tell you when it is safe to drive and what to avoid for the first day.
